Frequently asked questions
Why are some letters missing from superscript and subscript?
Unicode only includes some letters in raised or lowered form. Subscript, for example, has no b, c, d or g. The tools tell you exactly which characters stay full size.
Does underline or strikethrough text work everywhere?
It uses combining marks, which most apps display. A few fields strip them, and each mark adds one character to the length.
Is the Wingdings translator the real Wingdings font?
No. It maps each letter to the Unicode symbol that matches the classic Wingdings glyph, so the result can be pasted anywhere without installing a font.
