About GlyphRoot

Type once. Copy any style.

GlyphRoot is a set of small, fast tools for styling text with Unicode: a font generator with 40 styles, 34 focused generators and utilities, and a library of 230 symbols. You type once and copy the result into a bio, a display name, a post or a chat.

How it works

Unicode, the standard behind all text on phones and computers, includes whole alphabets that look like styled type — Mathematical Bold Script, Fraktur, Circled letters, Full-width forms and more. GlyphRoot swaps each of your letters for its look-alike in those alphabets. The result is ordinary text, so it keeps its look when you paste it somewhere that doesn’t let you pick a font.

What we care about

• The tool comes first. Every page opens with the input and live results. Explanations sit below.
• Your text stays with you. Your text is converted in your browser and never sent to our servers. Favorites and recent copies are saved only in your own browser.
• Honest compatibility notes. Styled text doesn’t work everywhere — usernames, search boxes and screen readers all treat it differently — and each tool says so.
• No sign-up. Nothing to install, no account, no watermark.

The name

A glyph is the shape a character takes. The mark is a lowercase “g” whose descender splits into roots below the baseline — one character, many forms, growing from the same root.
